1. Agreement

By accessing or using Scout Engine ("the Platform") at scoutengine.io, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.


2. Description of Service

Scout Engine is a recruiting workflow and CRM platform that enables college athletic coaches and athletic departments to manage recruiting pipelines and communicate with prospective student athletes via SMS and other channels.


3. Eligibility

The Platform is intended for use by college coaches, athletic department staff, and authorized institutional users. By using the Platform, you represent that you are authorized to act on behalf of your institution.


4. SMS Messaging Program

Scout Engine facilitates SMS recruiting communications between coaches and prospective student athletes.

  • Program Name: Scout Engine Recruiting Communications

  • Message Frequency: Varies based on coach activity and recruiting needs

  • Message & Data Rates: Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier plan

  • Opt-Out: Recipients may reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages from a coach

  • Help: Recipients may reply HELP for assistance

  • Support: Contact contact@scoutengine.io for help


Coaches are responsible for ensuring their use of SMS messaging complies with applicable laws including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and NCAA recruiting regulations.


5. Coach Responsibilities

As a Scout Engine user, you agree to:

  • Use the Platform only for lawful recruiting communications

  • Comply with all NCAA rules and regulations governing recruiting contact

  • Not send unsolicited, harassing, or abusive messages

  • Honor all opt-out requests from recipients immediately

  • Maintain accurate account information

  • Keep your login credentials confidential


6. Prohibited Uses

You may not use Scout Engine to:

  • Send spam or bulk unsolicited messages

  • Violate any NCAA bylaws or institutional compliance policies

  • Impersonate any person or institution

  • Transmit harmful, offensive, or illegal content

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform


7. Payments and Subscriptions

Scout Engine is offered on a subscription basis. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees to your payment method. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact contact@scoutengine.io.


8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of Scout Engine are owned by Scout Engine and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our Platform without permission.


9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, misuse the messaging system, or engage in activity that could expose Scout Engine or its users to legal liability.


10. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or that all messages will be delivered successfully, as delivery depends on third-party carriers.


11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scout Engine shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform or any messaging sent through it.


12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the applicable courts.


13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
