From Coaches and Athletic Departments:

  • Institution name and athletic department details

  • Billing and payment information

  • Usage data and activity within the platform


From Prospective Student Athletes (via coaches using our platform):

  • Name and phone number (provided by coaches from publicly available recruiting sources, recruiting databases, referrals from high school coaches, or information athletes have made publicly available on recruiting platforms and social media)

  • Communication history between coaches and athletes


How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide and operate the Scout Engine platform

  • Enable coaches to communicate with prospective student athletes as part of the NCAA-regulated recruiting process

  • Send SMS messages on behalf of coaches through our integrated messaging system

  • Maintain records of recruiting communications for compliance purposes

  • Process payments and manage accounts


SMS Messaging

Scout Engine facilitates SMS communication between college coaches and prospective student athletes. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Prospective student athletes may reply STOP to opt out of messages from a coach at any time. For help, reply HELP.


Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information to third parties. We may share information with:

  • Twilio: Our SMS delivery provider, to facilitate text message delivery

  • Supabase: Our database and infrastructure provider

  • Payment processors: To process subscription payments

  • Legal authorities: If required by law or to protect our rights


Data Retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active. Communication records are retained to support NCAA compliance requirements. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us.
